Trump says news organizations have ‘lost cred’
President Trump said the media has “lost cred” and cited a survey from last week that shows nearly half of Americans believe news outlets make up stories about him.
”It is finally sinking through. 46% OF PEOPLE BELIEVE MAJOR NATIONAL NEWS ORGS FABRICATE STORIES ABOUT ME. FAKE NEWS, even worse! Lost cred.,” Trump posted on Twitter Sunday.

Trump was referring to a Politico/Morning Consult poll released on Wednesday that says 46 percent of those surveyed believe the news media ”fabricates” stories about Trump and his administration.
The poll showed Nearly half of voters, 46 percent, believe the news media fabricate news stories about President Donald Trump and his administration.
Broken down by party lines, 76 percent of Republicans say the media invent stories about Trump, while only 11 percent disagree.
Among Democrats, 65 percent say the media do not make-up stories about the president, while 20 percent said they do.
Forty-four percent of independents say the news outlets “fabricate” stories, while 31 percent say they do not.
The poll was conducted October 12-16, surveying 1,991 registered voters. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
