One Florida couple got an extra treat for Halloween.
Oskar Gray Frankenstein was born on Halloween afternoon.
Kyle and Jessica Frankenstein were planning to welcome their baby boy into the world Saturday, but grandmother Jennifer Frankenstein said her family had a suspicion that little Oskar’s birth would coincide with the holiday.
“He was due four days ago and he decided to wait until Halloween,” Jennifer Frankenstein said.
Little Oskar, who shares the last name of the classic horror character Dr. Frankenstein, weighed in at 6 pounds and 9 ounces. Though he arrived a couple days after his due date, his mom said his Halloween debut came as an absolute surprise.
Grandmother Frankenstein said Oskar is her first grandchild and the first with her namesake born on Halloween, although she does have a 13-year-old daughter who shares the same birthday as “Frankenstein” author Mary Shelley.
“Everybody’s safe and sound and we’re super excited,” Jennifer Frankenstein said.
